Clark Little, Giant wave photographer

Clark Little is not just a photographer. He likes taking pictures of the huge waves of Hawaii from within. An expert surfer himself, he tries and finds the perfect image while ignoring the more than one hits received from these giants of the sea.

He has designed their own cameras all-terrain (water, salt, sand and blows) for this dramatic work and the results are stunning views that mere mortals prefer to enjoy at the convenience of a book or a monitor.

More of his work on the following link

Is this the missing link?

Apparently the missing link has been discovered, the link that connect the ancestors of apes and humans.

Darwinius masillae, the 47 million years old fossil, has been studied in secret for 2 years and it's put at the beginning of human evolution. Although today the term "missing link" is more media than science, we should expect to see either Discovery Channel or National Geographic specials to digest this information, and also expect some impact on the eternal debate, Evolution or Creation? I hope that the fighting between groups of different ideologies does not get worse.

Amid the celebration of the bicentenary of Darwin's birth and waiting to define it either as a scientific breakthrough or just as a media show, we'll try and continue evolving.

Whack-a-mole, kitties version

Have you ever played Whack-a-mole?

Is this game where a mole shows up by one o 9 holes made in your garden, and you have to whack it with a mallet, if you're fast enough, to avoid the destruction of your carrots, potatoes, beets or whatever you have sown.

Well, here you have a link to a video, where someone has made another interesting version using kitties (Whack-a-Kitty). Seems funny.

Whack-a-Kitty

No kitties were harmed during the making of this video

Michio Hoshino, bear photographer

Amazing picture. Isn't it?

It was taken from the inside of a tent in Rusia. It was the last picture taken by Michio Hoshino, before being killed by the bear.

Born in Japan, 44 years old, he was a well-known nature photographer, specialized in Alaskan wildlife.

In 2008, 12º aniversary of his death, a memorial totem pole was raised in Alaska, to honor his work.
